The Support Sky Harbor Coalition hosts several events throughout the year for its Contributors and community partners.
Neighborhood Cleanups
The Coalition, in partnership with the City of Phoenix, donated funds to refurbish and retrofit two tool trailers with the equipment needed for neighborhood cleanups. Twice a year, the Coalition reserves thetrailers for community cleanups around Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. During the remainder of the year, at no charge, neighborhood associations throughout Phoenix have access to the trailers to conduct cleanups and revitalization projects.
Annual Golf Tournament and USO
Each year the Coalition holds a golf tournament for Coalition Contributors and participants. A portion of the proceeds from the Support Sky Harbor Coalition Tournament is contributed to our military. Since 2010, proceeds each year have benefited the USO at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Annual Dinner and New Pathways for Youth
Each year the Coalition hosts an invitation only annual event for Contributors at the Advocate level and above. The annual get together is an opportunity to thank Contributors, recognize our Board Members, and to support New Pathways for Youth, whose mission is to help youth realize their full potential.
Mixers
The Coalition hosts several networking events throughout the year providing an opportunity for contributors, guests of contributors and invited community members to build relationships and to learn about the Coalition, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and the City of Phoenix.
Aviation Academy
The PHX Aviation Academy brings together invited community leaders and contributors of the Coalition to provide participants with an in-depth view and understanding of the day-to-day operations and what it takes to maintain and constantly work to improve one of the nation’s busiest airports.
The Academy includes a combination of panel discussions, individual speakers, and behind-the-scenes tours exploring various aspects of the airport.
